What is the difference between a red bet and a black bet in roulette?

The main difference between red and black bets is that red bets pay out at a higher odds than black bets. A red bet pays out at odds of 1 to 1, while a black bet pays out at odds of 1 to 1.5. This means that if you bet $100 on red and it hits, you will win $100. If you bet $100 on black and it hits, you will win $150.
The higher odds on black bets are due to the fact that there are more black numbers on the roulette wheel than red numbers. There are 18 black numbers and 18 red numbers, but there are also two green numbers (0 and 00). This gives the black bet a slightly higher chance of winning.
